About Us

Nestled on the edge of Loch Fyne in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, The Stagecoach Inn is a warm, historic retreat steeped in character and tradition. A family-run inn with origins dating back to the 18th century, we blend timeless Highland hospitality with modern comfort to offer a truly memorable experience.

Our History

Originally a resting stop for weary travelers and mail coaches, The Stagecoach Inn has played a key role in local life for over two centuries. Our walls have welcomed everyone from locals to explorers, anglers to poets, drawn by the tranquility of the loch, the beauty of the mountains, and the genuine warmth of our welcome.

Many writers have visited the Inn, including John Keats, Robert Heron & Dorothy Wordsworth. It's easy to see how the views from Cairndow could inspire one to put pen to paper.
